Lector
To proclaim the Word of God is
more than reading. It requires
thoughtful and prayerful
preparation. Schedules are
mailed every three months with
consideration for minister’s
request regarding liturgy time
and availability.
Eucharistic Minister
Assist the Pastor in
distributing consecrated bread
and wine. This ministry
requires prayerful preparation.
Schedules are mailed every three
months with consideration for
the minister’s request regarding
liturgy time and
availability.
Minister of Hospitality
Assist the Pastor by welcoming
parishioners as they arrive for
liturgy, assisting in seating
those with physical disabilities
or impairments, facilitating
smooth movement of the
community, closing and securing
the church following the
liturgy.
Altar Server
The minister assists the
Presider during the liturgy by
preparing the altar, holding the
Presider’s text, and assisting
with receiving the gifts.
Adults and youth (who have
completed the 4th
grade) are scheduled every three
months.
Adult Choir
The
choir
enhances the music for the
liturgy. Meets on Monday
evenings from 6:30 PM to 8:00
PM. For ages high school
through adult. We take off four
months during summer. We
alternate singing at the three
different mass times. We meet
one-half hour before mass begins
to warm up. You DO NOT need to
read music. You do need to be
able to sing in tune however.
Practice tapes are available for
whoever wants one.
Cantors
Cantors
lead the people in the
congregational singing.
Responsible for the sung psalm.
You need to be comfortable
singing alone. Practice tapes
are available. One-half hour
practice before mass and other
practice time is arranged
separately as needed.
Instrumental
Trumpets, flutes, violin, oboes,
guitar, bass guitar, drums,
piano, organ are the main
instruments that have music with
our hymnals. Anyone who has a
favorite classical piece who
would like to share it with the
congregation, please contact the
music director.
