Ministry Schedule Coming Soon.

Liturgical Ministers include Lectors, Eucharistic Ministers, Altar Servers and Ministers of Hospitality.  These ministries assist the Pastor in our community prayer by providing prayerful, spiritually enriching and meaningful liturgies.  Not all are called to these ministries.  Each requires specific abilities of the minister.   Formational training is provided twice a year.  Ministry eligibility is based on:

-  Baptized and confirmed member of the church
-  Registered and active member

-  Attendance at designated trainings and subsequent trainings

-  Responsible in meeting assigned ministry dates or finding a replacement allowing ample time for
preparation

Lector

To proclaim the Word of God is more than reading.  It requires thoughtful and prayerful preparation.  Schedules are mailed every three months with consideration for minister’s request regarding liturgy time and availability.

Eucharistic Minister

Assist the Pastor in distributing consecrated bread and wine.  This ministry requires prayerful preparation.  Schedules are mailed every three months with consideration for the minister’s request regarding liturgy time and availability.

Minister of Hospitality

Assist the Pastor by welcoming parishioners as they arrive for liturgy, assisting in seating those with physical disabilities or impairments, facilitating smooth movement of the community, closing and securing the church following the liturgy.

Altar Server

The minister assists the Presider during the liturgy by preparing the altar, holding the Presider’s text, and assisting with receiving the gifts.  Adults and youth (who have completed the 4th grade) are scheduled every three months.

Adult Choir

The choir enhances the music for the liturgy.  Meets on Monday evenings from 6:30 PM to 8:00 PM.  For ages high school through adult.  We take off four months during summer.  We alternate singing at the three different mass times.  We meet one-half hour before mass begins to warm up.  You DO NOT need to read music.  You do need to be able to sing in tune however.   Practice tapes are available for whoever wants one.

Cantors

Cantors lead the people in the congregational singing.  Responsible for the sung psalm.  You need to be comfortable singing alone.  Practice tapes are available.  One-half hour practice before mass and other practice time is arranged separately as needed.

Instrumental

Trumpets, flutes, violin, oboes, guitar, bass guitar, drums, piano, organ are the main instruments that have music with our hymnals.  Anyone who has a favorite classical piece who would like to share it with the congregation, please contact the music director.

If you are interested in participating in any of the musical categories, please contact our Music Director,
